Would you wear a bracelet made from a gun?
The mayor of Newark, New Jersey is making jewelry out of seized guns and shell casings from the city’s gun buyback program. The bracelets from the Caliber Collection contain the word “Newark” and the serial number from the gun which was melted down to create it. According to the Collection’s site no two pieces are the same. All of the bracelets are completely original.
What do you think of the bracelets? Is it a good use of the seized weapons?

No, I couldn’t live knowing that my bracelet was once a beautiful thing. :L

I think that’s a really creative way to reuse the seized guns. I wouldn’t be too keen on a piece from a gun used for, say, a murder, but the idea is pretty cool.

Yeah, I would, it was more of the person behind the gun that killed if it was used, not the gun itself.

I would. Because it’s just made from metal. “Ohh it’s from a gun!” Big deal.

I would , but I would want to know if that gun had killed an innocent person .
