Why were some schools using handcuffs for punishment?
Schools in Jackson, Mississippi will no longer be allowed to handcuff students for punishment. Previously, students could be handcuffed for something as minor as a dress code violation. Schools may now only use handcuffs if a student over the age of thirteen commits a crime, and no students may be handcuffed to objects such a desks, tables, poles, etc.
Can you believe schools were using handcuffs as a punishment?
