The 2012 London Olympics have shown us many inspiring athletes and stories. Michael Phelps is now the most decorated Olympic athlete in history, and gymnast Gabby Douglas was the first black woman to win the gold in the women’s all-around. Rising high school senior and multiple medalist Missy Franklin refuses to take endorsements so is eligible to swim on her school’s team. My personal favorite? The bib exchange between Kirani James and Oscar Pistorius, the first double amputee to qualify for the Olympic games.

Bradley Wiggins for winning the Tour de France and then winning gold in the Olympics a week later in the men’s Time Trial. And of course Usain Bolt for defending his title in the biggest event in the Olympics under the biggest amount of pressure ever!
