Vanessa Hudgens explains her rebellious neck tattoo
Vanessa Hudgens just got a sexy little butterfly tattoo on her neck during New York Fashion Week, and here’s the scoop on why she wanted it: Vanessa confessed, “It was very last minute, but I’ve actually wanted it for years. A butterfly landed on my mom’s stomach a week before I was born and that’s how I got my name, because Vanessa means butterfly — it’s a Latin derivative.”
Vanessa told David Letterman during her interview for The Late Show, “It’s my very first tattoo, and I kind of feel like a badass now!” She wants to move up from her High School Musical identity as an actress, and maybe her new film, Beastly, will get her career moving in the right direction.
