I actually like the name Renesmee. It’s unique and cool. I don’t understand what she’s saying .. It’s not like your giving the child a granny name like “Maureen.”

She is right about it affecting the jobs you’ll be able to get in the future. There have been studies done on it.

I think what she meant is it can affect your chances of getting the job you want. if a chick named shenaynay went up into a high class attorney office trying to get a job, even if she has the credentials/degree most likely they’re gonna skip her for someone else even if the person they choose isnt as great a choice.

@alexiswashere…the flaw in your logic is that Stephanie Meyer didn’t invent any of those names herself. If you meet someone on the street named Jacob and you say, “OMG, you were named after a Twilight character”, you look like an idiot because Jacob was a common name before Twilight. If you meet someone named Renesmee and you say, “OMG, you were named after a Twilight character”, then it would be the truth. On the other hand, Stephanie Meyer is a little bit of an idiot. I’d like to see the source she found that links any one person’s name to the career path they chose.

It’s just a name as really your parent choice. And what does a stripper had to do with it. Many people have it hard these days. I’m not saying I’m with stripping I’m trying to say a name doesn’t choice your life your choices does. If a person wants to name their daughter Renesmee then let them. It’s a beautiful name like any other name.
