In today’s sports climate, players do not generally stick around for awhile making it a difficult decision whether you are going to hand over $80 for a LeBron James jersey (sorry Cavalier fans) if the player may be gone in two years.

Fortunately, throwback jerseys are very popular and the latest jersey trend is more about the team on the front, and not the name on the back (though both are important). The Hit List has put together a list of the best throwback jerseys.

  7. Michigan Wolverines: Though it’s the helmet that really makes the jersey, Michigan’s blue and maize is quite fashionable.
  8. Boston Celtics: If you’re Irish, the Boston Celtics green and white throwback is pretty much an idol.
  9. Orlando Magic: The Magic should have never went away from their classic 90s pinstripe black jerseys worn by stars like Penny Hardaway and Shaq.
  10. Detroit Red Wings: Hard to argue with a jersey that has produced 11 Stanley Cup trophies.
  11. Dallas Cowboys: “America’s Team” features a great color scheme, and several legendary throwbacks like “Aikmen”, “Smith” and “Sanders”.
  12. North Carolina Tar Heels: The powder blue and white is not only extremely stylish, but home to many college basketball greats including Michael Jordan.
  13. Chicago Bulls: If you’re going to get a Tar Heel throwback, you might as well get a Michael Jordan Bulls jersey while you’re at it — available in both classic black and red colorways.
  14. Denver Nuggets: As colorful as its rocky mountains, these throwback Nuggets jerseys were also immensely popular among the LGBT community.
