If you’re eighteen years old, or will turn eighteen before November, you’ll be able to vote in the 2012 presidential election. Mitt Romney has just announced Paul Ryan as his running mate Obama and Biden. Regardless of your political views, the election will be incredibly important given that the country is extremely divided on both social and fiscal issues.

No. Any younger and you’ll get people not mature enought to understand. Plus the age is 18 to vote because back in the back it was 21 till the enlisted men who were under 21 complained about how they served our country but couldn’t vote. Which makes sense that they lowered it.

Kids dont understand all the politics and the responsibility of knowing who is to vote for. One must study on each and learn which side ur most willing to take. Even mny adults nowadays dont know what they’re doing. Which is why Obama won the election…

if you lower the voting age then lower the drinking age the age for smoking…hell why not lower the age to drive

Anyone who pays taxes should be allowed to vote.
People over 19 who haven’t paid taxes for over a year (Some people could lose their job during election times, so they should be allowed to vote, but a year is long enough to find a job) should not be allowed to vote, however teenagers who work and pay taxes under the age of 18 should be allowed to vote.

Absolutely not! If anything it should be raised to 25. 18 today is like 13 was 75 years ago. All these kids do is vote popularity they don’t vote what makes sense! Just look we ended up with Obama in the White House because he’s cool he got a free ride through life and snorted cocaine so he’s cool.
