Robert Pattinson is an English actor, model, musician and producer. Rob’s first major role was in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, however his career really transcended when he earned the leading role of Edward Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight saga.

Robert was born May 13, 1986 in London. His mother, Clare, worked for a modeling agency while his father (Richard) imported vintage cars from the United States. He has two older sisters.

While a teenager, Rob took an interest in theatre and got involved with a local company. He auditioned and was cast in roles for Guys and Dolls, Our Town and Macbeth. He caught the attention of an acting agent in a production of Tess of the D’Urbervilles and began looking for professional roles shortly thereafter.

Robert also began modeling at any early age, seeing a lot of interest by age 12. Since that time, Pattinson often prefers to make jokes about his short lived modeling career, including statements like “I had the most unsuccessful modeling career.”

In the very near future, he’ll be starring in Water for Elephants. He also currently shooting Breaking Dawn in Louisiana.

Interests: Robert is an excellent musician who likes to play both piano and guitar. He began taking piano lessons at age three and classic guitar at age five. He is heavily inspired by Jack Nicholson. Rob also enjoys playing darts and pool. According to IMDb, he once invited an obsessive fan out for dinner when he was having a bad day. Last but not least, Robert supports the Arsenal Football Club.
