Inspired by true events, Act of Valor tells the story of an elite team of Navy SEALs who embark on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent. The film is groundbreaking in the fact that the cast is actually made up of real, active duty Navy SEALs. Originally, the footage was designed to serve as a recruitment video for the U.S. military until Relativity decided to pick it up and turn into a feature film.
