Queen Elizabeth comes out for gay rights

This week, Queen Elizabeth of England signed a charter live on TV that is meant to end discrimination against homosexuals and promote the rights of women.

This marked the first time in her 60+ year reign that she “came out” unequivocally in support of gay rights, and it also implies that should Princess Kate give birth to a daughter, that the Queen would want her daughter to be included in the hierarchy for the throne. Although the monarchy has little real power these days, gay rights activists herald this symbolic shift in tone.

I really don’t give a crap what the Queen does! haha
Woo hoo for gay rights though!! I don’t wanna compare the fight for gay rights to the fight for civil rights(that’s nuts), but I think the global mindset in free countries will eventually evolve, like civil rights did, and it won’t be a big deal anymore! People will soon realize everyone has the right to love WHOEVER they want, and MARRY whoever they want! We’re all people at the end of the day. <3
