Man convicted of stealing over $200k in quarters
Buffalo parking meter mechanic James Bagarozzo came up with a plan to steal over $200k…in quarters.
When he was supposed to be repairing parking meters, he was instead breaking them so that he could collect some of the quarters from each machine for himself. Officials only noticed that something was going on when the city’s automated machines were collecting more revenue than the older manual meters that Bagarozzo was “repairing.”
By the time he was caught, Bagarozzo had stolen over $200k in quarters that he used to pay off the mortgage on his house and contribute to his gambling addiction. He’s now been sentenced for 2.5 years in prison.
Who says change doesn’t add up? But crime never pays in the end.

Having to pay for parking is dumb,If I pay taxes why should I have to pay to park on the side of a road I paid to have paved? Either get rid of pay to park or get rid of taxes. And I drive a 4×4 so I’ll find a parking spot, even if that means I have to park on a Honda.
