While some critics falsely predicted that the Kardashian dynasty would fade into oblivion after the Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries wedding debacle, confirmation that the Kardashian clan just signed a new $40 million/3 season deal with E! suggests that the infamous family is not going anywhere soon.

Bruce Jenner is the only one in that family with any talent. So I think I’ll hide in my fallout shelter with a notebook, a pen, and Ernest Hemingway novels till the Kardashians are gone.

It’s mediocre news.
It’s good news because their antics are highly entertaining. Kim and her mother are so exceptionally shallow and fame hungry, it’s shocking. Kourtney’s voice is annoying, but I like her sense of not really giving two flips about much of anything. Khloe is the best out of all of them.
It’s bad news because it’s just another 3 years that people who did not get famous by having talent are stealing the spotlight from more worthy people. What makes matters worse is that Kim became famous through an illicit tape with the D-list celeb brother of a famous 90s singer. Her continued success and attention sets a terrible example for the more impressionable girls out there.
