Is Rihanna hurting the cause against domestic violence?
After the singer’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, many women’s groups are upset about how Rihanna answered questions regarding the beating she took from then-boyfriend Chris Brown. Rihanna tells Oprah she “was more concerned about her best friend” and she was worried everyone was going to think he was a “monster” when he just made a “mistake.” While she never said she condoned the abuse, several domestic violence charities are worried she’s sending the wrong message to girls who may find themselves in a similar situation.
What do you think?

People don’t realize how difficult being in an abusive relationship is. You fall in love with a person and they slowly start abusing you, but it’s too late because you already love them. Of course you want them to stop, but you convince yourself they’ll change or they don’t mean to do it.
What people need to do is let Rihanna get through it without telling her how she should be dealing with it, because it is her decision. She needs to be able to get through the situation without having the media telling her what she should do about it. We do not know everything that’s going on with her nor do we know how she feels. Leave her alone, it’s none of your business.
