How often do you go make-up free?

Three juniors at New London High School decided that their female classmates needed a boost in self-esteem.  The girls proposed a no make-up day at school, with one of them noting, “Everything has beauty but not everyone sees it, so just because you don’t wear makeup or you can’t afford nice clothes you can be your own self and be just as beautiful.”  Her friend and fellow no make-up day creator adds, “It was an idea just to have girls come and show that they are comfortable in their own skin.”  The administration agreed to their plan, and one teacher noticed, “I think all of them feel a little bit more of a sense of community here, doing this together, even freshmen through seniors.”
