Hot or Not? Ke$ha’s career in five years

Ke$ha had a monster year in 2010 but you could say that it’s a bad omen when your former management firm is asking the court to speed up a settlement in order to prevent the “well from drying up”.

Or so to speak.

Ke$ha is a very rich woman these days thanks to a couple of breakout hits but DAS Communication is certainly skeptical about the artist’s future. According to court papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court and obtained by the New York Post, lawyers for DAS claim that,

“(Ke$ha) is a very young and inexperienced artist whose ‘star’ may not continue to rise.”

The papers add…

“Although she has made an incredible amount of money in a very short period of time, in large part due to DAS’ efforts on her behalf, she could just as easily lose money if not properly guided.”

DAS Communications sued the performer last May because the company said that the 23 year-old broke her agreement to pay the firm 20 percent of her earnings, assuming that they landed her a major label deal within that year.

So, when Ke$ha did sign with Warner Bros in 2008, the management company was entitled to the payday but apparently ripped off when songwriter Dr. Luke convinced the artist to drop DAS and sign with RCA/Jive records instead. Ke$ha has since filed a countersuit in California for “bogus claims” and simply trying to cash in on income she earned elsewhere.

She sold out her first-ever North American tour, had three number one hits and her song “Tick Tock” was named the biggest-selling digital song in the world for 2010.

Question is…Do you think Ke$ha will not be relevant in five years like DAS appears to suggest? Love or hate Ke$ha?
