It seems the new trend between boyfriends and girlfriends doesn’t have anything to do with sex, but it can be equally as exposing. In an effort to prove trust to their significant others, teens are now trading passwords to cell phones, e-mails, and Facebook accounts. While it seems harmless, this behavior can be devastating in the event of a bad break-up.

Do you share passwords with your significant other or your friends? Do you think it’s a good idea?

Yeah, i think its stupid when couples share passwords. Being married is one thing, but wheen teens do it, its just retarded. Same goes with the whole “profile/facebook” hacking…except they are essentially giving their passwords to strangers on the internet. Absolutely stupid kids are these days.

My husband and I know each other’s passwords for everything from FB to our joined bank accounts etc.
Not for trust reasons because there’s no issues there, but simply because they’re the same for the most part. During college, we made our network security password named after our dog, and from there, we both just sort of changed everything to it because we don’t care if the other knows our passwords.

Privacy is important. A trusting relationship means giving others space and not being suspicious if they want privacy.
