It’s the tale of beliebers versus believers, Twitter edition.  As you may have heard Pope Benedict XVI joined Twitter last week, but he’s already out-tweeting the international pop star in one aspect.  Justin Beiber loves to tweet, and his fans love to re-tweet his words of wisdom.  However, after just a few days of the Pope began tweeting, his followers are retweeting his sentiments at a rapid rate…much moreso than Justin’s fans.  Granted, Justin has thirty million more followers than the Pope (so far), but the Biebs most retweeted status was retweeted by only .7 percent of his followers, while the Pope’s most retweeted tweet was shared by five percent of his followers.  The tweet?  “Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart.”

Are you surprised the Pope is getting retweeted more than Justin?
