Beastie Boys Co-Founder Adam Yauch has died
Adam Yauch was diagnosed with cancer back in 2009, and he passed away today after nearly a three year battle at age 47. He was in treatment since 2009 when a tumor was found in his salivary gland.
It’s pretty upsetting news to me. I remember back in the days of MTV’s music days I’d see a lot of the Beastie Boys on there… and they were my introduction into hip hop I’d say. For any other Canadians reading, Beastie Boys were on a few of the Big Shiny Tunes mix CDs that Much Music released. That’s how I first discovered them. Though I only really listened to them on these CDs and while watching music videos, it’s still sad news to see a person pass away like this. My thoughts go out to his friends and family.
Adam LeMoine is a music enthusiast, who has been playing music for 16 years and has been following music of all kinds since age 4.

“If you can feel what I’m feeling then it’s a musical masterpiece/ If you can hear what I’m dealing with then that’s cool at least/ What’s running through my mind comes through in my walk/ True feelings are shown from the way that I talk”
Sad sad loss
