Angry Birds — New Hollywood Sensation

Ignore the silly name, Angry Birds is doing some damage in Hollywood.
Angry, what?
Angry Birds, a simple puzzle video app for the iPhone that has received over 17.5 million downloads and a five star rating from 315,000+ users on Apple. Additionally, celebrities like Cory Monteith, Pete Wentz, Conan O’Brien and Justin Bieber seem to be in absolutely in love with the game.
So, it’s gotta be good, right?
Bieber hopped on the celebrity bandwagon by tweeting last weekend: I love the game Angry Birds. It’s so sick. This, of course, follows Cory Monteith’s Twitter declaration that Angry Birds is “taking over his life”.
Really? What is so great about an iPhone app?
According to Rovio, the game’s manufacture, the company would like to continue and expand the franchise. Recently also released for Android phones, Rovio insists that a multi-platform brand, complete with movies, TV shows, toys and comic books would be a massive commercial success.
