![]() On May 16th southern Illinois' Run Kid Run, David Curtis (Vocals, Guitar), Neil Endicott (Guitar, Vocals), Lyle Chastain (Bass), and Matt Jackson (Drums), will be releasing they're debut album "This Is Who We Are" on Tooth & Nail records. Although many of you might find yourselves unfamiliar with Run Kid Run, I assure you that will all change this summer. Starting things off just right is the track "We've Only Just Begun," which is also the first single off the album. It's an extremely catchy, hook-filled anthem that'll have you singing, "Let's just get it started!" - the powerful words of the chorus - for months ahead. Coming in at track number two is the song "Move On." This song also shows off the bands rhythmic ability, and is nearly impossible to keep from bobbing your head while listening to it. Tracks four and five on the album have to be my favorites. These songs really show off Dave's vocal abilities and melodies. With anthem-style choruses, and inspirational lyrics, this is where the album really starts to show what Run Kid Run is all about. ![]() The next two tracks "The Call Out" and "This Day of Change," prove Run Kid Run is ready for the masses. If these two radio-ready songs don't have you screaming along at the top of your lungs, I think it's time you see a physician. There's no doubt the last track on the album "I'll Sing Forever" is the perfect end to the album. With the same quality songwriting, and amazing musicianship shown throughout the entire album, this song leave you begging for more, but also extremely satisfied at the same time. Overall, this album comes across with a very positive and refreshing taste to this sometimes overdone genre. When it's all said and done, the songs that mean the most to you are the ones with the ability to connect you with the artist, and share a common ground. Without a doubt this was accomplished here today. This is who we are... and we are great. -Ben
