![]() TeenSpot.com recently got the chance to quiz Jordan Pruitt about her new album No Ordinary Girl, what it's like being a young rising star and where she see's herself in the future. Don't forget to grab a copy of her album, its great! TeenSpot: Jordan: Well… my name is Jordan Pruitt, I just released my first album No Ordinary Girl and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it and to get back on the road meet more of my fans. I’m having so much fun right and meeting so many great people! Jordan: It was crazy! But soooo much fun and exciting. Jordan: Never! I love what I’m doing far toooooo much! Jordan: Oh definitely. This is so surreal. Jordan: I’m blessed to work with such quality people and what an honor to be a Disney representative! TeenSpot: Do you think you’ve got what it takes to follow in the success of people like Britney (Excluding her actions in the last couple of years!) Jordan: I’ve always known I’d be doing this, and to answer your question, YES! I have a more modest approach, but in terms of ability, I am confident. TeenSpot: So your debut album ‘No Ordinary Girl’ is out now, tell us a little about that. Jordan: We spent a year and a half writing the songs. Outside Looking In was the first song we wrote. Finally--- over two years later, it was soooo exciting seeing the CD in the stores. Keith and I went to Target to buy a copy just for the experience. I took a photo with my phone of the CD on the rack there with all the other artists. I said, “Hey that’s me on the cover!” TeenSpot: Jordan: I absolutely adore him. He’s such a great friend, producer, manager, and genuine person. We’re a team! Jordan: It’s very important. I want to sing songs about my own experiences and not just record other people’s songs. It’s important to me to be known as a singer and a songwriter. I co-wrote 12 of the 14 songs on the CD. Jordan: “Waiting For You,” “When I Pretend” and “Waiting For The Weekend” (Target bonus track) Jordan: Not really… Just continue to write about life and pursue what I’m passionate about-- which is MUSIC! Jordan: Well, we’re not really sure if “Teenager” will be the next single. We have a good feeling about “Miss Popularity”… TeenSpot: Where do you see yourself in one year’s time? How about five? Jordan: Making music. I know how much I’ve grown musically over the past two years. I can’t imagine what it will be like in five. I have a few offers to act but only if it supplements my music career. I can’t imagine anything more rewarding than this.
