Why hello there. Some of you might know me and then you might not. And if you don't, that's considered a shame. You certainly don't know what you're missing.
My name happens to be many things. That sounds completely silly, right? But it's true. My real name is Faith but if I told you that you probably wouldn't believe me. Nowadays, people don't call me by my real name. They call me Fay. However, it's your option to call me whatever you prefer.
I'm sixteen years old. Which in some people eyes that's young. But to be honest, I think this is the age where everything starts to click together. I remember back in the day when I was six, wishing on every shooting star that I would wake up sixteen. And within a few years it happened in a blink of an eye. I get these terrible moments where I wish I was six again and where I wish I was a lot older.
I was raised in many places, within the state. But I reside in this horrible town that I'm drying to escape. The town is so dead, the echoing of your heartbeat is heard within miles. I live by the water, the smell of salt and marsh waken your thoughts. One of these days, I'm going to ride this town out and leave the everlasting smell behind.
I like animal noises. Cookie crisp cereal at any time of the day, not just in the morning. I believe music cleanses my soul on a depressing, stormy day. It speaks to me as to words I can not physically say. I like esikmo kisses. When someone brushes the hair out of my eyes. I like when I'm having a good hair day, which happens once in a blue moon. I like when my outfit makes an impression and shows off what my personality can't. I like wearing skinny jeans, a shirt and hoodie even when it's hot outside. I like wearing cute little adorable hair bows in my hair even though you see about half the population doing it. I like taking photos and showing a different meaning to what is really in front of your face. I love when the wind brushes through my hair or how the sun beats down on me and reflects off.
I hate snobby people. The ones that think their shit doesn't stink. Traffic jams make me nervous and it feels as though I'm never going to reach the end of my destination. Slow drivers make we rip my hair out. Whores make my skin crawl and my teeth rattle against each other. The smell of old people makes my nose wish it couldn't smell, even the most precious smells of all. Backstabbing people distraught my inner self. I wonder as to why they can't stab you when you're looking or see it coming. I hate when people instant message you and say "Hi" and the conversation ends there. I wish it would go past "Hi, how are you doing?" I don't like it when people judge you right off the bat. I might pick up a book and hate the cover but it makes me want to read it. Just to see what the cover really meant. Was it trying to trick us or not?
I love the soldier but hate the war. I wish one day the world will know peace. Where wars weren't affecting a child's education, a home wasn't something that use to be until a bomb destroyed it. Sometimes I wish I lived in the Woodstock days. Just to be able to hold hands with a complete stranger and not be judged, even if it was a girl. I hate the way animals are treated. But saying that I sound like a hypocrite because I eat meat. Still, I wouldn't go out of my way to harm some animal that couldn't speak their mind or say how they felt.
Best friends'? I have a few. Friends', sure, a lot. I don't trust people nor myself. And maybe one day that'll change. Until then, I keep a wall up. Not to see how many people I can keep out but to see who really wants to get through; to know me, love me and not judge me. I believe in small things, like hope, fate, destiny and that everything happens for a reason. I don't seek revenge. Because I know what goes around comes around sooner or later. And that price, punishment is much more than what I could give.
One of these days, one of them, I'm going to be famous. I'll shine in my own way. Just because I'm not 5'7, weigh 88 pounds and show sighs of perfection doesn't mean I'm something less. I'll show the world what I'm made of. Maybe one day, you would have wish you had given me a change. But by then, I won't care. You snooze, you lose.
I have to be someone, anyone. Maybe just a person searching for no one but herself. |
