People are so eager to doubt.
So eager to cry, be distraught, to forget the world.
We forget how easy it should be to become happy.
To take pleasure in the simple things, find thankfulness in memories, let in a little trust, and act so others can trust you.
We lose sight of the joy that was taught to us by the loved ones we have lost, replacing the emotions with grievances.
We forget that when one thing ends, there are still a million more things yet to begin.
We sit here and stare at stones with names engraved and dates to match. But what do they tell us?
The wind brushes away kisses left and rain sweeps away mementoes of affection.
And we sit in our dark rooms crying about a lover no longer ours. Even if we know there will be another.
But weve learned so much from these people and these things.
Why disgrace the memory of all these events with grief and pity when it was love and happiness that you learned from them and made them stand out?
Its hard to let go, and sometimes its not necessary,
But there is a time when the pity and sadness must end.
A time to accept things for how they are, and be thankful for what youve been taught and given that makes the relationship what it was.
