 About Me
For the most part, I am a calm and laid-back type of person. I like to hang out with my friends, play games, watch anime, work out and read alot. I like people who are intelligent, humble, and funny. I can't stand arrogant or obnoxious people. I am also very open-minded to different thoughts and ideas as long as they don't conflict with my religion.

As everybody can see from my profile and avatar, I am obsessed with Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd, in my opinion the greatest band ever. I have all of their albums, their DVDs, I have collected posters, souvenirs, etc. Pink Floyd without a doubt, made a everlasting mark upon not only the world of rock music, but music in general, with the excellent song-writing of Roger Waters, the fantastic guitar-playing skills that David Gilmour possessed, Rick Wright's good keyboarding skills and half-decent songwriting, and Nick Mason's drumming, they made an awesome group that was not to be underestimated. They ultimately proved themselves with the albums Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, The Wall, and Wish You Were Here. Even though they broke up due to arguments with Roger Waters, they will still always be remembered for their powerful and enduring music that helped to shape the 60s and the 70s.

Syd Barrett was in my opinion was one of the most influential and greatest musicians of all-time. Ever since I started listening to his music, I felt an automatic attachment. Even though he had a short stint with Pink Floyd, it's pretty obvious Pink Floyd would not exist without him. Unfortunately, his frequent use of LSD caused him to go insane. I still wonder what It would be like if Syd Barrett never went crazy and was still part of Pink Floyd to this day. The music would definitely be different, either for better or for worse. When I heard of his death, I would have to say that I was devastated and somewhat despondent to the point where I didn't want to see or talk to anybody for months afterwards. I would personally have to say that I like Syd Barrett's solo music infinitely more than Pink Floyd, purely because of the whimsy and care-free lyrics and sometimes inconsistent guitar playing. Syd Barrett was obviously not meant for this world to be truly famous and rich, and even so he still has a dedicated group of fans who will never forget him and will always remember his contributions to rock music and ultimately Pink Floyd. Shine on you crazy diamond.

If it wasn't for Roger's genius mind and Syd going insane, you would've never fucking heard of Pink Floyd. They would have been some underground pop/rock band in Europe. I love the fact that Syd was a stupid fucking moron and did too much C20H25N30. And I love the fact that he died recently. I want to rape his eroded corpse.

Yeah I'm the total opposite :haha:
I leave entirely for a month at a time
Then I come back and post for a month regularly
;)
So when did you get into black metal?
I remember our old school Pink Floyd debates.
BTW if you still think Gilmour > Waters, you are wrong sir.
