The Black Sea
Laughter. Drinking.
Dancing. Joking.
A tradegy from spinning lies, like a spiders web in the fog of night.
Followed by vivid pictures of frames and colour.
Ripped, Cut, Bleeding, Loss, Absence, Screaming! Screaming!
All I hear is screaming.
Smash! Smash! Smash! His skull hit the ground.
Blood! Blood! Blood! There is blood everywhere.
"No! NO! NO!"
Fighting, Kicking, Screaming, Losing, Flailing, Fading, Fading, Gone.
Empty.
Lifeless.
Figures and noises. It does not matter.
Lonely on the roadside in each others arms. It does not matter.
Cameras, pictures get out of my face! It does not matter.
Voices! Voices! The voices say: "How do you feel?" and "What was his name?" It does not matter.
For the night died in the black sea.
For all my good thoughts died in the black sea.
Because he did matter.

I wanna hear about it!! i mean, i wanna know about what made this festival so amazing for you!
i'm so glad you picked up the brmc CDs. if i played any part of it, i am really extra happy. as for not being able to hang with someone you idolize, i didn't think i could either. but man. they are so human.
when listening to the cds [which ones did you get btw?!!] remember this about peter. they were recently dropped by rca right, like their third US label, and this is what pete said when the guy next to me asked him about it. 'we never wanted this huge bus or anything. all we ever asked for was a van and a place to play the music, you know? this is all really disposable. and besides. we like to think of ourselves as the killer in the belly of the beast. every label that's dropped us so far as tanked.'
a - he can laugh about something like, in his words, 'we have two months worth of cash left and no songs written. we're really just riding it now'.
b - above all else, he REALLY is about the music. i mentioned the strokes doing a song for converse and he was SHOCKED. like beyond. even at their current state [see a] he said 'crystal method asked us for a song, and i was ok with givin some guitar, but when they wanted words i just didn't get it. what words did i have for them?'
c - they played two concerts in one, because the venue fucked up and their fans waited. that's feeble maybe, but fuck did it mean a lot
this is a long comment, aha. i'm just so glad you picked up their CDs! i can't wait to hear what you think of em man. |

haha. that's cool. i haven't been too busy...my summer's almost over, starting college at the end of the month. i'm super excited...other than that, partying, few concerts, working. i would say it's starting to get boring but i'm gonna be missing it when school starts up. i don't think i remember how to do work lol. |
