Calling all iPhone users and technologically inclined people..

Okay so I was previously an iPhone virgin, then I got one for my birthday friday. I downloaded a couple of apps. All worked fine.
However, yesterday whenever I tried this happened

"tap continue and sign in to view billing information"

even tho its free? so i do..and then it says

"there is a billing problem with a previous purchase please update your payment method."

da fuck? has this happened to anyone, im going to go in about it but just wanted to make sure it wasn't something completely stupid im missing out on

Is it coming from iTunes or the app itself?

If its iTunes update your info, and if its the app itself I'd delete the app.

Have you tried buying anything within the apps? Like some free apps make you pay like 99 cents to buy coins or whatever it is needed in the app?
Usually when that message comes up, it means itunes has tried to take money from your account and failed, so its asking you to pay what you owe or link a credit/debit card or get itunes credit.
itunes wont let you download anymore apps, even free ones until it's all fixed up.

Well the appstore? I didn't use itunes yet. It's happening with any app.

This has happened to me heaps, it lets you buy it even though you have no money in your account and then you owe them money, deleting it wont do anything, you'll have to pay itunes the money you owe them before you'll be able to download anymore apps.

If you press continue when you get this, it will tell you how much you owe them, i owed them 99 cents for a while and i couldn't download a single app until i paid it haha

Oh great! That sorts it then. Musn't have had anything in the account. Damn it i'm that broke I don't even have 79 cent lol. Thank's so much for clearing that up now I won't have to go in. I just deleted the app though, damn aha.
