okay there is a rising number of Wiccans but, I still find it's hard to meet others that share the belief.I'm not sure what more to say but, if there is any others out there I would love to meet you!

You should go to my school. There are quite a few people that I know that are Wiccan. Mainly the drama kids that I hang with in my classes and at lunch.
A loving heart is the beginning of all knowledge.

Haha, Wiccans.

wiccans are pagan so they believe in the god and goddess as well as natures power but if you ask 50 wiccans a question you will get 50 answers

Merry Meet! I'm actually a starting Agnostic Pagan, but Its good to see other young Wiccans/Pagans on here!
Anybody else think that we should start a group on here or something? I live in Mississippi, and there aren't that many young Pagans/Wiccans,i.e under the age of 34,that I can talk to.

ugh. i'm not really one for wicca, yes, i am a pagan sometimes- but not wiccan, sometimes i follow gypsy beliefs/magick. i'm also a chaote. and a vodouisant. i believe in everything, especially nothing. i'm posting in this thread because i was wondering if there was anyone else around with varying beliefs (im open to every belief system) and this is the only religion thread open that is close to what i believe in. i wouldn't mind talking to some of you wiccans, though. i just think theres a lot of misinformation when it comes to wicca.

From what I learned from real Wiccans, you need to be initiated before you can say you're a Wiccan. Also, Wiccan isn't always about witchcraft. Witchcraft and spells can be practiced without a religion, but Wicca itself is a religion. It's a religion like Christian, Buddhist, or Muslim. You can't just do whatever you want and call yourself a Wiccan. I think that's why people don't take Wicca seriously, because most people who consider themselves Wiccans are misinformed teens. There's nothing wrong with finding faith, but most teens just want to be Wiccans because the idea of practicing witchcraft sounds cool to them. What you're describing sounds like you're not even sure of what you are, what you're for, or what these religions are.
If anything, it would be better to just call yourself "spiritual".
I hope you don't have some idea that spells are going to make people turn into frogs, or that you're going to turn into a cat. These things will never happen. Spells are meant to help you work towards goals, like career, relationship, fertility, weight loss, etc. You will never be able to just poof something in front of you, turn into a vampire, or anything else most of these teen "Wiccan" think is going to happen. If that's what you think witchcraft and Wicca is going to do, back out and realize that this isn't how things work.
