    Default First time photography

    These are photo's from my first proper attempt into photography using my boyfriends Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

    That's actually a pretty amazing camera. If I'm not mistaken its the same camera my step father uses. This is his gallary.. You may see some techniques you might want to explore and he could give you some advice.

    I think these are some pretty good shots for your first attempt. I'm glad to see some kind of variety too. Do you use a tripod?

    Gosh his photo's are wonderful. I definitely get some ideas from them.

    I do have access to a tripod, but for all of these photos I didn't use it.

    the link above is mostly humorous. but it does give you loads of helpful tips for beginners, on such things as lines, focus, shadows, exposure etc

    macro photography is more difficult than you'd think. what lens' do you have?

    As it was my first time taking photographs my boyfriend sorted the lens out. I'm afraid I'm unsure as to which he has.
