New moms and dads tend to over share their new "bundles of joy" on Facebook. It's a known fact. So someone came up with a solution.
I used to just unsubscribe to people once I found out they were going to be a parent. No, I take that back, I give them the benefit of the doubt and see if they still post about normal things, you know, just things not related to their pregnancy/baby. But most of the time I am disappointed and they end up over sharing like a mother fucker. Facebook no longer is a social network where they post about a variety of things and is now BabyUpdateBook, ugh. I think this Chrome extenstion is pretty cool.

being one of those baby picture overloaders, it doesnt bother me to see a bunch of pictures of other babies. i guess this solution is pretty funny lol
but i'd say if it annoys a person that much, just unfriend them. but i do post about other things. but my family loves seeing daily JJ pictures <3 and my friends that i dont get to see anymore.Proud Mommy <3

I don't care, really. People post what's going on in their lives on Facebook, when you have a baby, that tends to be the main focus. Don't bother me none.

Seems like checking people's browsers for this extension would be a nearly foolproof way of detecting and avoiding whiny misanthropes before they start draining you emotionally and turning you into one of them. Beyond that, I can't see much of a use for it.

Rarely use it now. I have about 350 'friends' and its a joke really because 50 tops are genuine friends, so my feed is clogged with people I dont really know. What's more my mates don't tend to post much and I reckon if I deleted 5 people my Fb would be dead. I mainly use the mobile site to text when I run out of credit. Can't be bothered to clear my friends list and its not cool to have 50 friend lol
Don't get preggers shit, only one kid from year 11 is a dad and tbh he is a little embarrassed of the whole senario

that's funny. but a bit excessive. i mean, maybe if i had fb friends that posted a shit load of baby pictures i'd do it, but i like seeing cute little babies. the only thing i hate is when new moms or pregnant ppl only talk about their babies or being pregnant.
they should make an extension where if a status says anything about 'baby' or 'pregnancy' it won't show up on my feed.

I'd rather have a chrome extension that could extinguish all mentions of Chick-fil-a, Kony, and any future activist bandwagon of the month material from my newsfeed.
I don't mind seeing people's babies, at least that's part of their life.

Honestly, I fucking hate it when 16, 17 year olds or less are CONGRATULATED for having a baby, like it's a fucking accomplishment, you had a unprotected sex, that's not something you should be jumping of joy or congratulating young girls for. Like it's okay, when was it okay to have a baby when one was a baby themselves?
Plus, I hate it more when girls who have a baby and more than one baby daddy are posting their baby drama, ( but I have to be honest, I tune in because hell, it's drama )
Moreso, it saddens me when I find 14 years olds pregnant, or 17 year olds with two children from different fathers. Anyways, my thoughts.Someone's insanity grabbed ahold of me...

Love as though you have never been hurt before.

I just block them because baby bellies gross me out. Its especially sad when they post 10 mil pictures of their babies and the kid is ugly.
And I agree with that other poster watching baby mama/baby daddy drama go down is fucking embarrassing so I usually block them when their relationship keeps going from engaged, to single, to its complicated, back to engaged and back to single again.

so they should be put down? they're not congratulating the fact that they are a teen parent, they are congratulating them on being a parent. yes, teen parenting is usually less than desirable, but if the situation has already happened to someone, they know that's it's not the best place to be in, but they should make the best of it.

If you don't like seeing the pictures etc of people kids then just delete them.. More of my pics are of my child rather than me but a lot of people like to see them.

Unsubscribing is better. You can still comment on their stuff if you want to, or check up on them if you are concerned. But you don't have to worry about your news feed being blown up with minute unimportant details about their kids.

I swear to god EVERYBODY from my graduating class is getting knocked up, working on their 2nd or 3rd kid, and can't stop creaming about it on the internet.
It's fucking nauesating, and I think I hold a little credibility, 'cause I actually LIKE kids in general. OP is a babyhater in general.
I support this idea.i know the kid with his guitar, so drunk and anxious has been
done to death, but tell me what hasn't, i'll try it.
because i'm selfish enough to wanna get better, but i'm
backwards enough not to take any steps to get there.
