Facebook is fun sometimes. I don't know how much I've learned about people and their personal lives from reading their statuses they post.

I'm not really a fan of Facebook. I only have it because people don't print pictures anymore and the only way to access them is through Facebook. Also me and my friends are shit with our phones (like to the point where we wonder why we have them) so it's a good way for us to check that everyone is alive or so we can make sure someone has picked up a text we sent or to get someone to answer the phone because we all know what we're like

Facebook isn't purely designed for teenage attention whores to constantly update how kewl their lives are. It's actually incredibly useful to keep in touch with people. I have friends who far away or even abroad, and Facebook is a very easy way of seeing what's going on in their lives and speaking to them. Without it, I'd probably lose touch and never meet them again like I have in the past.

I think most people join out of curiosity because it's trendy and "everyone" is using it, and its addictive nature keeps them coming back.

I can honesty say I wouldn't be hanging out with half my friends if FB was never around, it's a good device to keep in touch with people, ESPECIALLY if you loose someones number.

Honestly, I use it to keep up with friends who have either moved away or I have met through rainbows/academic team. Plus some of the games are fun when I need to kill time.

Facebook is incredibly useful, not just as a social networking tool, but also as an information database. If you're smart about the pages that you like and the content that you allow to filter through to your News Feed, it becomes like a giant newspaper tailored to exactly your preferences. I don't really keep up with mass-market American media, so it's nice that I can get my news from, say, NPR or the BBC right on my News Feed without having to slog through pages of celebrity gossip or slanted political commentary.

Plus, I have friends that live all over the country and the world that I wouldn't easily be able to keep in contact with were it not for Facebook.

I use facebook cause I like to keep in touch with people who live far, far, far away and keep or simply with my friends who are studying in a different city or in a different country, so it is not useless (for me ofc) xP
And I use it to meet new ppl too (barely) xD

I use it to get ahold of people I know in real life. I don't exactly enjoy it, but whatever works.

I only like Facebook to keep in touch with family and friends. And to play some games. Other than that, it's useless.

People get pissed because they think if you delete them that must mean you've got some kind of personal vendetta against them. Not justifying it, I'm just saying.

I love it, you can keep in touch with people you can't see because they live so far away.

Well, there are many reasons why I use it:
Stay in touch with family and friends
    Reconnect with old friends
    I used to play games...

To some extent, i am in favor of what your mind is stating. my dear sir/s, the reason why facebook is created is because most people need it. not want, why? because of communication. how on earth will we understand other people’s way of living? their culture? beliefs or religion to some extent?
it depends on how you use it. if it benefits your education, your knowledge... then it is useful i believe.
the main reason i created a facebook: to put my important things there. assignments, projects or anything connected to school. chatting is not that necessary, since i dont talk that much if the topic is not that interesting.
