That is a WELL awkward situation. I've been fortunate enough to, for the most part, have been befriended/woo'd/dated/banged by guys who smell stellar, but in the couple instances wherein I've gotten too close to someone who smells bad, I've kinda just backed off and avoided him.
That's shitty, but its not like he DOESN'T know if he smells bad all the time.
It's called deodorant, bro.i know the kid with his guitar, so drunk and anxious has been
done to death, but tell me what hasn't, i'll try it.
because i'm selfish enough to wanna get better, but i'm
backwards enough not to take any steps to get there.

I actually think he might not know, because he's smelled bad the times I've been with...
I don't know how to tell him because, he's kinda emotional and I don't wanna hurt him...
Any subtle ways you guys advise?

If he has a birthday coming up, gift him with deodorant and shampoo
but if you want him to know, you'll have to tell him
it's hard because he'll probably be embarrassed, but it's better if someone who has his best interests at heart tells him in a nice way than if some rude ass makes a comment.
