Some of the coolest, kindest, most likable and most respectful guys I know are sexually active, smoke weed, and take pills recreationally.

But this is basically my point. Saying that our generation only cares about sex and drugs would be very similar to saying "everyone who lived in the 60s/70s was a goddamn hippie".

I believe he's actually referring to the fact that sex is literary everywhere today, as compared to previous generations. It was a big deal back then obviously, however I can't even turn on my TV without seeing a reference to sex anymore. It's not that I hate it or anything, I'd just rather see people like the media focus on other things besides than the personal sex lives of celebrities and whatnot. Even allot of YouTube thumbnails have half naked women on them just to attract viewers rather than something actually relevant to the video.

Like I said, I'm not saying that that's all this generation cares about, because that both false and a massive generalization that no one person could ever back up, but sex is also quite over-glorified in modern days and is destroying quite a few moral values that shouldn't be changed.

previous generations were incredibly ignorant about the world. Our nations were riddled with horrendous racism, women were still a long way from even slight inequality, homosexuality was illegal, many people thought that comic books and rock-and-roll were evil

I never said they were? The morals I'm referring to are typically the ones on how you treat other people. For example, many women think all men are perverts because of bad experiences with guys who are only after sex and don't actually care about the woman they're dating for anything else. Many men also think that women think their body is irresistible and end up getting rejected because of it, meaning they then consider all woman retarded because of it.

These are just two examples, but you know it's true. I've seen it countless times in multiple places both online, on facebook, and in real life.

I'm not saying sex is a bad thing, I'm saying many things, such as the media, over-glorify it and hence plenty of the current generation thinks that the main component in a relationship is in their looks and sex appeal.

I think im a pretty decent guy. But I have to agree with everybody, more guys than not under the age of 17 want only sex. Once they hit about 18-25, they usually start to look for a relationship.
