Heart How to get a shy boys number? Help

I'v known this guy for about 1 year but like we go to different high schools now. I recently met him at the library during lunch at summer school and asked him for some money to print and surprisingly he gave it to me even though we barley talked before . Even though we didn't really talk before I still kinda liked him. The next day i made up an excuse to sit with him at the library. He didn't even look at me to answer he just kept his head down and kinda pointed to the chair in front of him. I sat down and when i opened my binder and he ask me if i was doing reach ahead too (summer school). I was pretty happy that he wanted to start a conservation with me but we only talk for a couple of seconds and then some old woman told us to be quiet. When I looked back up at him is head was down and it looked like he was laughing or smiling. Afterward I just did my work in silence. About 1 minute later he said he was going to go back to school and he said see you later. It was still pretty early to head back to school so I felt completely rejected but I want to try and get his number. I don't even care if I'm just his friend.

This boy is a very quiet and shy boy and hard to read so how do I get is number? There are only seven days off summer school left? Does anyone have any ideas?
Also I'm going into the 10th grade after brake if that helps.
