She wants to go to sleep. She feels the heavy pull of tiredness grabbing at her. But she can’t. She knows she can’t. Because she doesn’t want go to the places she visits when she’s asleep.
Ten minutes later and Elizabeth Bradley still isn’t sleeping. She doesn’t want to even though she’s very weary and knows she must get up early the next morning to help her parents pick out plants for their yard. She hates sleeping. Cause for the past few weeks it hasn’t been wondrous waking up from peaceful sleep. It’s been nothing but emptiness and depressed feelings that come with the arrival of morning.
Elizabeth wont sleep though she can barely keep her eyes open. She doesn’t want to face the only two kinds of dreams she’s been having lately. For her it’s not even worth sleeping anymore.
One of Elizabeth’s types of dreams are her nightmares. They are the worse of two evils in her case. Yes everyone has them but these are no ordinary nightmares. Because when she’s in these nightmares she’s is not scared. In fact she feels no emotion what so ever. It doesn’t matter what kind of nightmare it is (psycho stalkers, serial killers, her being a bad guy running from the cops) she is indifferent in the dream. But when she wakes up it’s a whole different story. These nightmares leave her scared out of her mind sitting in bed when she wakes up drained from all the running and being chased in these nightmares.
The second kind of dream is a beautiful one, Elizabeth dreams of her and her 5 month crush being together. Happy. Not caring what anyone else thinks. It’s such a beautiful dream to have but it not all the time. Because with these dreams she does have to wake up and when she does realizes none of this happiness is actually there in her life. It’s a horrible feeling day in and day out having these dreams but they mock you. Giving you what you utmost yearn for and then ripping it away from you putting you straight back into an unhappy reality. These dreams leave Elizabeth depressed and drained again. Leaving her with no energy to start out her day.
This is Elizabeth’s sleep pattern and it must stop or she feels she might go insane. And it’s all because of this one boy. Simply put, his name is Waldo.
