These are pieces are feel aren't finished yet, but they look good as they are (in my opinion) so before i screw things up, i just want to know what you feel is missing? love it, hate it, or eh?

This one ^ is supposed to inspire hope, but i think it's leaning more towards wonder.
abstract shapes.jpg
This one ^ is an abstract, I wasn't going anywhere with this
face and mask.jpg
This one ^ is a project that just had to include masks, but obviously i have trouble with my proportions. I like it like that though
landscape.jpg
This ^ is acrylic paint over sand for texture. I hate acrylics, but it's supposed to be a fantasy landscape. it's my least favorite and the one i need the most work on
I will say that none of this stuff is my best work, which is why it is here. And in my opinion art is subjective, everyone likes different things and i respect that. I also realize that by putting these up, i giving people freedom to speak the truth, but please explain why exactly you don't or do like it, so i can get a sense of what my art work has invoked in other people. I take my art work very seriously

to the first one I would add a little more color, like those shapes or something. All the others are best left alone, they are awesome

I'm no arts expert so I'm just basing this on what I see XD I agree with the person above me ^woop^ that the first one needs more colours, probably lighter shades in the middle with the dark background. Probably the only thing lacking on your works are strong features. Like there should be something striking in a part of the artwork.

I like the mask and face one. It makes me think there could be an interesting story behind that. As if someone is taking off a mask to show their true selves, or because they have a secret identity. That defiantly seems like my favorite work of yours. I'm not digging the abstract, mainly because I'm not big on abstract, so I could be biased.
The landscape one just seems a little dull. It's not bad or anything, but you didn't highlight anything, which makes it seer amateur I guess. You did say you weren't done, so just keep working and see what happens.

mask and face needs more tenebrism. The use of contrast looks too naive to be dramatic.

the first I believe well... there are two parts, the dark and the light one. The connection seems to be the problem for me, the two parts honestly look disconnected. Maybe if you could live the background up with colors, or use dark colors on the straight line... that should do it. The second and third should stay as it is depending on your idea if you wanted it to look naive. If not, I would use shades, shadows and light cause it would look more realistic. And the last looks very creative. Again, depending on your choice of course. Though I would definitely use shadows and sharp edges here. Then it would be perfect. Looking at these, I get the style you might be using. With passionate strong colors and straight to the point. That's just my assumption. I like it a lot. Wish you could post the best work as well.
My best advice would be keep up the work. Experiment, try tons of techniques. You won't regret it.

Even though this is an old thread I'll respond. The ones with the shapes seem to lack contrast in my personal opinion. Maybe highlight them with a silver?
