Default iPod Touch got wet - Need Help

A few weeks ago i left my windows down on a hot summer night thinking it wouldn't be a big deal. I woke up to a soaked truck. My iPod had gotten wet but I was relieved to see it still working. I threw it in the glove box and hadn't touched it until today. It wont turn on or take charge, so I know something is up. Any ideas on what to do? It's plugged in right now and is getting warm like it used to when I charged it. It is a 2nd gen iPod touch. It's not a huge deal, but I'd like to have it and not have to buy a new one.

Leave it dry out some more.

I'll definitely do this, but shouldn't it be pretty dry?
I mean it has been in a glove box for the past week or two, but I would think that's good enough. I'll leave it in my room for a while and hope it dries out.

put it in a container of rice in a nice dry warm spot in your house.
it might take a couple days.

If it's charging and it still works then it's probably not wet inside. An apple genius told me you can tell if its wet inside if there's a pink ring around the headphone hole. I'm not going to try it to find out but that's what they told me. It's how they can tell when someone says my touch stopped working and they say it didn't get wet.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're talking about what they use to see if the product's been water damaged. If it's pink it means your warranty is void.

Try putting it in a bowl of rice. Rice soaks up a lot of water. my sister dropped her phone in the toilet (like completely sunk) and she put it in rice (like i said) and i worked in a couple hours
