You're the one being the know it all.

"Half the time" ? Where did you get that from?

You chose a bad video. Here's a professional standard of butchering in an abattoir. This is the standard in Ireland, the EU, the UK, and other commonwealth countries. That was filmed in Australia.

Dont assume everyone is a bad butcher.

Im not talking about Ireland , i never said that they dont know what there doing over where you live. Im talking about places over here. And some places do know what theyre doing, but there are a lot of places that dont care about showing animals respect and comfort before they kill them. Some places abuse the animals and have them in nasty, harsh conditions, and thats not right. Thats what im saying, they dont deserve to be abused on their last days.

It's more difficult to control slaughtering in the states. Just buy from humane butchers then. Or buy organic meat. Simple.

I'm never going to be a vegetarian or a vegan, but I am outraged at the treatment these animals are receiving. It made me so sad to watch the torture they are going through. I don't mind animals being raised for food as long as they are treated humanely when they are alive(more space, being free from physical abuse, cleaner areas for them to live in, etc). This was terrible and it should be a crime to treat animals this way.

Yeah i know, thats what i was trying to say. And now obama made it legal to slaughter and eat horses, so that shows how stupid people are over here. Id rather live in Ireland.

Eating horses saved us from starvation before, didn't it? What's so bad about that?

In most cattle farms over here, animals are given quite a lot of space and humane treatment very different from what youve seen in that video. Heck ton of people that live in countryside raise their own cattle for various purposes including slaughtering them for meat, lot of people do it themselves too.

I have to agree with everything Dioz said.

That's kind of disappointing, since he appears to be talking directly from his ass.

"That's such a bad video because it doesn't apply to Ireland, and clearly if something isn't a problem in Ireland then it's not worth talking about on a predominantly American website.
