Well i'm from Indianapolis so there are quite a few areas that are blighted and rundown; most of the eastside (where i live ), and parts of the west and south. Gary is well a shithole, and we do have a high methlab ratio up north In all honest I like this law and hope other states will follow suite maybe cops will think twice before infringing on our rights as citizens .

Yes, I've visited. It's just like most of the midwest. It's all pretty much the same.

There may be a small handful of fools who try this but will soon find themselves in prison. I think whether it is legal to shoot a cop for any reason or not a majority of the population would not do so anyways.

This is not abuse. This is justice. Just about every single goddamned time a team of militarized pigs makes a move on the wrong house (if you don't believe this happens you should stop reading my post right the fuck now and check that link I gave you) there's a crossfire. If the cop's victorious, nothing happens to him. If the civilian's victorious, enjoy the respect of your fellow men standing up to the pigs... from within your new life in a jail cell. This law seeks to correct that which is present in my name.

By the way, the nearest "death of an innocent" listing to my own proximity played out exactly like this.

I doubt the law will have a statistically significant effect on shootings of officers. However, it does much to cement the responsible lawmakers' standing with gun owners and civil libertarians.

I feel like 8 different ways about this.

Like I mean, sweet, cops have triple incentive not to raid the wrong house and brutally murder innocents.

But I also think it just adds another straw to the insane gun culture of the US.

Like I don't want our cops armed, but how can we possibly go about dismantling the overwhelming love of guns in US society? I massively distrust 95 percent of people who own guns, and I usually take gun ownership as a sign of massive distrust of people in general.

I dunno, I just fear for my life every fucking day because of this kind of shit. Cops have guns, everyone in my state has guns, how can I ever feel safe?
