Ehh I don't think there's much you can do for hormonal outbreaks. Have you tried using an astringent after your normal face wash? I use the blue clean&clear kind and I never get breakouts anymore.

Yes, I've used plenty of topical treatments, as well as at home remedies that people usually have work for them. They don't work for me though, but sometimes hormonal acne can only be treated by medication.
Oh, and I also eat pretty healthy. I eat mainly vegetables, fruits, beans, and nuts because I'm a vegetarian. Not so much dairy and eggs. I've actually read a person's diet has nearly nothing to do with acne, unless you're allergic or intolerant to the foods. I know people who eat junk and fast food, but have amazing skin.

I do know that my friend went to her doctor about her bad acne and he gave her a pill and special face wash. Maybe talk to your doctor then? But hers was really bad and painful.

Just avoid cleansers or other skin care products with scrubbing particles or a gritty texture, as they can irritate the skin.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Cleanser is great. Like deadglory, I also recommend fish oil supplements. They have numerous health benefits, including anti-inflammatory properties as well as promotes skin health. Avoid using an excessive amount of products on your skin, as well. Be sure to keep it clean and use hypoallergenic products.
