Let me start by saying I'm 17 years old and next year I will be a senior. I'm not your average teen, I've never done any drugs or drank alcohol. I have a small group of like 5 friends, only one of which is a girl. I've never had a girlfriend so obviously I'm inexperienced in that department, lol.
BTW I may seem a bit angry, that's because I am. But I don't want to offend anyone, so please don't be.
And it seems impossible nowadays to find a girl who actually has some respect and isn't a slut.
It seems like most girls in high school (AND COLLEGE, ESPECIALLY) just want to get drunk, party, and follow the crowd. Especially in college they seem to have no self-respect and they go around doing the "grind" dance at parties, basically dry humping each other, giving lap dances, etc. They get drunk and wasted, wear barely ANY clothes, then they flash their privates and stuff. Then they sleep around and provide sexual favors to even the most douchebaggy of guys. WHAT WOULD THEIR PARENTS SAY? Then what is worse is the media glorifies it with movies like "American Pie" and "Project X" encouraging this behavior. I was reading about teens grinding at parties and dances. I've never been to an actual school dance in high school before. I went to some in middle school but they had the rule where you had to be a foot away from each other. Nowadays all I hear is that the dances are just for an excuse for girls to hump guys and say they're not sluts because everyone does it. But surely just because a majority of people do doesn't make it right? Girls get dressed up so beautifully just to dance dirty and rub their butt on some h0rny dbag guy.
I hear some REALLY nasty things. How the girls take their panties and bras off, freshmen girls grinding on seniors (so 14 year olds on 18 year olds), girls actually getting on their hands and knees for guys to rub their butt, grind lines, making out and hooking up with random guys, bodily fluids, etc. If I ever went to a dance and saw these things I would probably throw up...no lie.
These are young girls and it seems like they are being manipulated by guys but enjoy it... It's disgusting. I just think it's sad that girls act this way. They deserve more. And what irks me the most is how all the time girls complain about wanting "respect" and a "nice guy"...well surely 'dancing' like that won't accomplish that.
I was thinking about going to my first dance next year, just with some friends because I'll be a senior and wanna make the best of my last year at high school...but if I see this stuff I might not be able to stomach it. I try to be a nice guy but it seems to get me no where. And it seems like girls don't really care about class anymore, they like being bend over and groped like a mop.
I'm a nice guy and actually have respect for women, instead of just treating them like sexual objects. I feel like I'm never going to meet a nice girl who actually respects herself. I often get depressed and stuff over this…I sometimes feel bad for the girls and myself. I would be a good boyfriend (I think), but it seems like girls don't want love, they just want to be sluts.
And don't make and BS excuses like "she doesn't know what she wants" or it's her parents fault" without giving me a proper reason WHY that makes her act like a slut.
I might get a lot of crap on here but IDC. I'm just wondering if there is any realists left in the world. Thanks.

i'm just finishing up my first year in college and i'll be 19 in a couple months. i have never been to a party, done drugs or smoked, had alcohol, etc. and it isn't that i'm naive or necessarily "innocent". i just have no interest whatsoever in that lifestyle and i don't see the fun in it. i've grown up in a strict christian family with parents (to this day) who will literally make me change if my shorts are too short, my skirt is too tight, or if i show too much cleavage. sometimes it used to annoy me, but i have realized overtime that true beauty lies in modesty and character. if guys don't like me because i don't force myself on them, that's not my problem and they are definitely not worth it.
as for finding a boyfriend, most people in my highschool partied and drank and stuff so i was never really interested for settling below my standards. i never looked for a boyfriend cause i knew i didn't need one. just focused on studying. i had never been kissed or went on a date, but most guys were intimidated because they knew i wasn't into that kinda thing haha. but then senior year, i became with friends with a guy who loved partying. he liked me, but he knew i was a good girl haha. we talked for about 5 months and he stopped partying and drinking. we have been together for 16 months now and he's turned into such a good guy
anyway, i agree with your post
i think our generation lacks self-respect, modesty, character, and dignity. but don't be discouraged, you will find a lovely girl one day! you're still young. don't look for one, just focus on your own life, school, and your endeavors. she will come when you least expect it. there are definitely many good girls out there! but it also takes time for people to mature into the person they are. people just wanna have fun in high school and college haha. can't really blame them!

I completely agree. Its people like you who get good jobs and go somewhere. Most girls are sluts because they think its cool. I mean god, why would you think being slutty and sexy is going to get you anywhere? Sooner or later they're gonna have kids and wish that never happened. They're retarded and could do something about their lives but choose not to. Its so ridiculous. Logically people are smart enough not to get involved with sex and drugs to ruin their lives now. How do they not understand this. I'm 13 but I have seen what many things can do to people. I think that the generation of next time has become dissassembled and sluttier than ever which should have never happened. Especially in music. The worst influences have come from this. Why would society do this? But anyways I completely agree with you and think that you're doing the right thing and being very smart. Wish more people were like you

Its just a matter of being patient. Not all girls are like that, and Id definitely go to prom with friends despite what happens. It can't get that bad with chaperones. Going to college will open up way more options, dont give up.

You know JohnDoe i totally agree with what you said! I believe that alot of girls act the way they do because they dont know anybody! They see others doing it so they do, i dont think they are thinking for themselves, they are thinking for eachother! I think that it is great that you have respect for girls and that you want a serious relationship it shows that you dont care what society thinks only matters what you want!

If your main concern in these girls' attitudes is that you won't be able to find a girl "good enough" to be your girlfriend, then you're no better than anybody you're criticizing. All your views are based on a very condescending and judgmental sense of self-interest.
It's true that many girls act in a way that shows a lack of self-respect. Not all girls live in a way that benefits the interest of feminism, just like how many guys don't either. It's not right to assume that all girls are completely responsible for acting with more integrity than guys: that's sexist.
The way you talk about it shows that you don't really care about the girls- you're just disgusted and angry because you want a girlfriend, but you can't get one. Don't pin that one on the the way girls act. Nice guys don't do that.

I agree with Hovla. OP is being judgemental and narrow minded. And to TessaStrikerWolfblood regarding the comment on the girls someday regretting their 'slutty' decisions, I can't imagine a more incorrect statement. I'm going on 22 this year, just graduated university with a BScN and an RN title, and in my past I have done many, many things that most would consider 'slutty'. Things I'm not necessarily PROUD of, but I definitely don't regret them. They taught me things, and I did have fun, and life is only lived once. As long as you're not physically harmed and you consent to what you're doing, 'partying' and 'being slutty' is more or less part of the adventure of being young and stupid. Trying to break the mould isn't making you look more intelligent, it's making you look un-rightfully condescending and naive.
Also, I'm not saying everyone should take part in these things. But you shouldn't be so quick to make judgements on things you haven't experienced, and on people's lives that you don't understand. You should be open and let those around you make the decisions they prefer as long as they aren't doing you any harm personally.

You better get a taste for trash or you won't have any fun. You don't have to marry a trashy girl, just get out there and have some fun. This is life, it's not that serious.
