    Disco Cool Water fasting

Has anyone done a 3 day water fast before? I'm looking at youtube videos and everyone seems to be alive after 3 days. I just completed day one and I feel ok, just a little upset because I want food, but I'm not that hungry.

I DO INTERMITTENT FASTING, BUT USUALLY NEVER GO MORE THAN 30 HOURS. ANY LONGER THAN THAT AND YOU'RE LOSING ANY OF THE BENEFITS. AFTER THAT POINT YOU'RE PROBABLY DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD.

What most people don't know is after a point without getting any food, after about a day, your body starts losing muscle. The actual numbers that you will lose depend on alot of different factors, but you can be certain that if your body thinks it is starving, its survival mechanisms will kick in, and it will rid itself of what it doesn't need. Muscle is highly energy intensive to maintain, and that will be the first to go.

This is so true. People do the water fast thing, but in those three days you will only lose water weight. The kind of weight you want to lose is fat, not water - which is extremely important for you. Your body is going to lose muscle and become weaker with the water fast. So don't do it - the best thing to do is eat less junk and exercise more.

said perfectly. i have had several friends try this (all of them big weightlifters like me, which is a silly type of person to try it) and lo and behold after 3 days, a couple went to lift with me and in only 3 days dropped nearly 15 pounds on their various maxes, not to mention that one of me friends was doing it particularly to cut weight which he did, but then he ate about 3.5 days worth of calories in a few hours putting it back on haha. Also to those looking to use it to flush their system, there are so much better ways to do that, high quantities of flax seed oil do wonders, as well as very hot peppers, because the capcaisin burns calories like crazy and like how mexican food works with most people, the spiciness can help flush alot out of you. Water is one of the most necessary things for a person sure, but what im getting at myself, is that if god, evolution, or cthulu anted us to drink only water even for just 3 days in a row, then it would be naturally replaced with a calorie rich liquid, after all, once you are properly hydrated water does almost nothing for you.

Fasting diets are broscience. Drop it now and hit the gym. You wanna diet? Just put yourself in a calorific deficit and limit your carbs. Boom.

Of course, no sugar or empty calories.

Fasting allows the body time to heal from all of the toxins and pollutants in our food and environment.

When I used to water fast with my foster mother we played it safe. She had studied the best way to do it without the body feeding on muscle and we discovered people who would have barley sugar every few hours. Though ours would be week long fast's so I'm not sure if it was different.
