I have a delicion between a 2012 ford escape hybrid and the 2012 chevy equinox. I prefer a hybrid because i do ALOT of driving and there better on gas. I love the equinox but the only problem is that they dont have a hybrid version

get a diesel if you do a lot of driving.

Don't get anything that new.
Try an older diesel VW jetta. They get around 42mpg highway which is pretty great.

Get a Prius, they get as much as 49 mpg. If u want something classier then get a corolla, they get good gas and can look super cool with new wheels, tinted windows and the like

Toyota's ghey, except their old mini trucks, I'd take a diesel manual hi-lux any day of the week.

a tdi would suit you much better for about the same price unless you want to keep your size. the thing about hybrids you should think about is that batteries do wear out and need replacing and thats like a 7 thousand dollar battery.
