Some people can have kids. Some people cannot. Just think of the positives here. You don't need condoms or birthcontrol. No periods. Never have to worry about an unplanned pregnancy. Never have to go through child birth and if you do want kids, you could always adopt them. Yes it takes a while to adopt a child but it takes 9 months to have your own baby anyway so it's not that different.

hey now, if you can't have kids, it's not that easy to just be like, "oh, guess i'll just adopt!" some women want to experience pregnancy along with the upbringing of the child and having to accept the fact that you won't be able to carry your own child can be very heartbreaking.

First, you can have a kid through a surrogate.
Second, you sound very unintelligent in how you are presenting your opinion.
And to Chincster, you sound incredibly immature, selfish, and absorbed. I am going to adopt a baby one day and the baby will feel every bit as loved and with the same sense of belonging as other kids.

Seriously? I did not make this thread for all you people to BITCH. I said what I needed to say. Adoption and surrogacy is not that easy. I have been depressed for 3 years now. (I was diagnosed at 15, I'm now 18.) Nobody understands how bad I want a baby. I feel like my future is gone just because I cannot have my own baby. Do you know how much that hurts? Do you know how much grief I get from my family all because I want to adopt?

Why are you so upset by what your family thinks? If they know about your condition, then they should support your decision to adopt. If not, they're assholes.
Either way, it's your decision, not theirs. And as a family, it's sort of their job to support you no matter what you're going through.Your heart is a muscle the size of your fist.
Keep on loving, keep on fighting, and hold on for your life.

afaik pregnancy is hell and most women hate it.and there's still surrogacy if it's that important. And I understand shit like that is expensive, but at the same time if you want kids as bad as you say you do, save up and work for it just like you have to work for everything else.
It doesn't matter what you made the thread for. If you post something on an open forum people can say whatever they want. If you don't want to hear opinions take your soapbox somewhere else.

i understand that. i stated before that i'm not trying to speak for all women, i was just saying that not all women are going to be okay with not being able to get pregnant. and i never said there's anything wrong with surrogacy or adoption, both are great options for women who can't get pregnant. i'm not siding with the OP or anything if that's what you're thinking.

I understand that women are upset that they can't get pregnant. I just don't understand the op coming in here and getting on a high horse about it. If it's an issue they can take that shit to Dr. Phil.

Because everyone is shooting her down rather then supporting her and giving her helpful ideas, which is most likely the reason she created the thread, though we all keep throwing the thread of course with insults and arguments, and anything but what the thread was made for.

Helpful ideas? Like what?
My point is, is yeah, you can't get pregnant that sucks for you. But all this "woe is me" "you don't know what it's like" "appreciate what you got because you could be like me " shit is annoying and lame.
I used myself as an example. I'm in the literal opposite side of the spectrum. Yet, I'm not all like "omg consider your self lucky. I'd do anything to be sterile!" because different people have different battles, wishes and wants. Im not going to talk down to someone if they occasionaly appear to not be appreciating their "blessings." it's human nature to complain and be in a bad mood. It sure is a lot better then plastering a fake smile on your face all the time. I find it annoying that OP is trying to guilt trip someone for not appreciating parenting a 100% of the time.

People gave her the ideas of surrogacy and adoption, though to me, it doesn't sound like she was asking for help. OP was saying how people shouldn't be slutting it up and getting knocked up when they can't handle the responsibility of being a parent. Whereas, people like her with (other) medical conditions that prevent them from bearing children, would love to have kids, but can't. The way she presents herself makes her sound like she's throwing herself a pity party that no one wants to go to.
