Hi there, I came across this forum looking for some answers that I couldn’t find online. Mainly because I was getting a lot of results leading to **** sites and not to my actual question. I was quite embarrassed to ask my friends about this, so here I am hoping that I might get some answers. I’ve been going out with this girl for a few weeks or so and the time has come where we try things sexually. When I had asked her if she was a virgin she said that she was. Now that’s all fine and dandy but then right away she told me she had lost her anal virginity a year ago. So that got to me a bit and I asked her who it was and she said it was nobody but that she used to play with herself before. Now this seemed a bit strange and new to me, so I asked for her to be a bit clear. She said she used a dildo and that’s how she lost her virginity.
Now my question is, does that count as loosing anal virginity? Do you lose your anal virginity only when something is inserted into the anus? What about the other way around? If that’s the case, does shitting make you lose your anal virginity?
I hope I can get some answers from you guys, as this has been bothering me for a while. Thank you for reading and may glad tidings be upon you.

Within the common use of the term, self inflicted acts do not counts as losing one's virginity. Penetration with her own hands or objects are just an act of masturbation.
Virginity is generally viewed to have been lost when another person's genitals are in contact with your own. Since you are both hetero, she won't have lost her virginity until someone puts his penis in her vagina (or, in the case of whatever the eff anal virginity is supposed to mean, her bum).

That depends on whether your definition of virginity is that one's virginity is only lost when a penis makes contact with a vagina or if you take it simply mean your first time having sex.
Either way, I don't think anyone's definition includes losing it to an inanimate object.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heteronormativity
The concept of virginity is a societal construct. The long held traditional view of lose of virginity happening when a penis goes in a vagina comes from religious institutions. In reality, virginity is just a signifier of sexual innocence. In my view, if someone touches your sex organs for the purpose of gratification, you're not a virgin (though there are obviously different levels of experience). If you hold the traditional view that losing ones virginity happens when penetration occurs then, yes, gay people will have a barrier against losing it.

Don't feel stupid about asking this question. You came to the right place. Your girlfriend seems to have the wrong answers.
You can only lose your virginity to someone not to an object. But I guess she is saying she has experimented
with herself with sexual objects. She has a taste of how it feels but hasn't had the real deal.
