Mass Effect 2? Mass Effect 3?

i was going to buy mass effect 3 but because its a series i thought that i should play Mass Effect 2 first (i would play 1 but iv got a PS3 not an xbox). iv looked at some reviews and they say the stories are good but too short, but there are others that say different... what do you guys think? is it too short? is it even worth buyin?... oh and i would also like to know what you think of mass effect 3.

I am also a ps3 user I think its messed up we didnt get mass effect 1 but I bought it on pc since I do have a good pc. Play Mass effect 2 its great its a bit glitchy and It I spent more than 10 hours both on mass effect 2 and 3 but I did side quests with the main quest. I love mass effect 3 until the ending but no spoilers here so I wont say anything go get it play the demos if you want to know a bit of what the game feels like. Defiantly get mass effect 2 before 3.

You don't HAVE to buy ME 2 to play 3, most developers make it that way now to make the most money possible out of each new game. but if you want to understand the story line a little better go ahead.

It doesnt matter. The ending of ME3 throws all canon out. Your choices in ME2 don't really matter in the end.

I personally liked ME3, despite the ending. Idc, still love it. I'd play all three, just because they are all great games and you actually KNOW who everyone is and what everyone's been through. A lot of dissapointments for most people, but still an amazing game in my eyes.
