No contest, Harry Potter. It's a series for everyone, the characters are 3 dimensional, and Harry feels guilt that many people are dying because of him. Here's one quote from Harry, that would help my argument. "I Never Wanted Any Of You To Die For Me." Also the Harry Potter books send messages like standing up for what's right, family, loyalty, good vs evil, and fate.

ANYWHO, if we're talking strictly from a film viewpoint, I don't think either series is very good. The first four Harry Potter films were excellent, but the last four were absolutely terrible. And I've only seen twenty minutes of the first Twilight film and have never cared to give it another try, that's how bad it was.

If we're talking about the franchises as a whole, however, Harry Potter owns the fuck out of Twilight. That's like asking which is better: Pixar or Dreamworks. C'mon, now.

Dude, this isn't even a question. Harry Potter. And if that's not your answer, then you're a preteen adolescent girl who wouldn't know good books or movie if it hit you in the face.
J.K Rowling created a whole world of characters you fell in love with. You got to grow up with them, and every loss or gain in the books felt like it was happening to you.
Where as Stephanie Meyer made an emo, sparkling fairy who was possessive over an eaqually emotional chick who had basically no personality whatsoever.
And I can't believe she had the audacity to compare her tween lovers to those of Lizzy and Mr. Darcy, or to that of Cathy and Heathcliff.

I'm watching Eclipse for laughs. It's actually on par with the shittiest fanfiction.

EDIT: Nvm, Breaking Dawn Part 1 made Eclipse look like a damned masterpiece. I'd definitely recommend watching Twilight 4 for laughs.

There are werewolves and vampires in Harry Potter too, and they're actually executed better and more true to the myths than sparkling supermen/native american animorphs.

How do you compare a turd to sunshine? Come on now! Harry Potter is better!
Even forgetting the plot or the setting of both the series - lets forget about the witches, vampires, werewolves, magic spells etc etc and if we just look at how they are written, i don't think anybody will deny that J K Rowling is a better writer than Stephenie Meyer.


P.S. I like how people defend Twilight by calling Harry Potter as being ridiculous cos it has witches and magic spells, they have a vampire that glitters in sunlight.
