my boyfriend's mom's boyfriend's kitty died today.
He took her in to get spayed and when the vet went to check on her a couple of hours after the surgery she was dead.
She said she doesn't know what happened, but I think he needs to not go back to that vet. I read that they are supposed to do blood tests on animals before putting them into surgery to make sure everything will be fine, and they didn't run tests on her first.

I mean, he's pretty upset, but he only had her for a couple of months, so he wasn't completely attached yet. But he did say he would not be going to that vet office anymore.

But he just recently treated her for worms within the week, which he thinks she's had for a while, and if the vet had run blood tests like she was supposed to, she probably would have known the cat was still to weak to go through surgery. I think that could be the cause of her death.
