last night (or really, this morning), I touched Mockingjay to my forehead after I had read the last sentence and cried so hard my face started to cramp. Completely drained
real or not real?
"Real."

Well, teaching is not a future career for me. What about English with a focus in creative writing? I know I don't need a degree to be an author, but, meh.
I'm leaning way more towards Linguistics with a focus in Spanish. The opportunities are endless, and I get a better chance to study abroad, which I will definitely hit up this time around.

But how many people who go to university to become authors, actually become authors? I think Linguistics would be your best bet.

It's not about the mental breakdown of a teenage girl. It's about strength. It's about corruption. It's about our fascination with reality TV and war and the always present power hungry leaders and taking steps to change what can be changed and it's about love and passion and commitment and ultimately the true morals of humanity. It's about the way we live and how we've evolved into what sort of species we are. I could go on and on, but it is not simply about a girl who goes crazy. The ending of Mockingjay was a bit upsetting, but in the most relieving way possible.

i'm going to be really upset if people start treating the Hunger Games like they did Twilight. though i understand why Twilight gets so much hate (even though they are actually good books) yanno because it's a bit more cheesy and the movies aren't that great. but i hope that if the Hunger Games movies aren't that good that people don't start hating on the books, too.
i absolutely hate when people are like "Twilight is so stupid, Stephenie Meyer can't write for shit" ummm did you even read the books or did you not even get past the first sentence because you already had it in your head that it wouldn't be good based on the movies?

I thought the twilight books were really poorly written, that's why I don't like them. I hated the films but that's because I didn't like the books. None of the characters in either were particularly likeable. Bella has to be the most annoying lead female character like ever.
I remember Hunger Games being much better books though, I hope they don'r really fuck up the films

yes, Bella was rather annoying in the books and the movies, but i like how they were romantic books but also had action and it wasn't solely focused on Bella and Edwards falling in love. if that makes sense.
and from what i've seen of trailers for the Hunger Games, i don't think they'll mess up the movies but hey, it's Hollywood, you never know. though i really don't like who they cast for Peeta, i just didn't picture him like that at all, but whatevs i guess.

Not sure if you're serious or trolling.
Twilight is average at best in composition. This is a really good analysis of why Twilight is terrible.

Calling it average is a huge compliment I think. the guy who wrote those reviews is right. The whole "romance" that Edward and Bella have is creepy and sexist. The fact that thanks to the films and books that's what a lot of girls aspire to having is really scary to me
