Well in Europe there are many countries with widely different views on homosexuality. I come from country where over 90% of population is Catholic. Most people here dont really care about gays, everyone is too busy with their own problems to give a damn about them. That is until yearly gay parade then everyone starts hating and bashing them, since they used some really sleazy tactics on couple of those parades to outright provoke population.
What i was trying to ask you is, do you think being gay is bigger sin than lets say having sex before marriage or something else? While i do think acting upon homosexuality is sin, i dont believe its any bigger sin than rest of the sins. Who am I to judge weight of their sins? Only God can do that, as Jesus himself self said "Let the one without the sin, throw the first rock''.
Nobody is sinless so its not upon us to judge sins of others.
If you want me to clarify any of my points ill be glad to do it.

I compared it to someone who likes chocolate versus vanilla.
It's just a taste difference.
It's what you like. & Honestly, I don't know who it's harming when someone is gay.
I also don't think God would have created the idea of homosexuality if he didn't like it. One could say the Devil did but, why? It's just another hole in your body, and someone did come up with the idea of anal sex (between a man and a woman) and that's not looked down upon so I say God is okay with homosexuality.
Do whatever you want, God will speak to you if he doesn't like it and wants you to follow something else.

Jesus taught love and acceptance.
Isn't that end of? All are equal in Gods eyes?
I disagree with people that give Christianity a bad name by telling people it won't accept gays.
We're all broken and need God to fix us. If you accept God, he accepts you.
That's what I believe anyway

Well, the church I go to says to tolerate other peoples sexual preferences. I don't believe God (talking about Christianity, here) would shun a gay christian. It doesn't say that in the bible. It does however say that being gay is a sin. Here's the great thing about Christianity though: it's all about free will. God gives us free will. When Virginia Tech had a shooting (I live in VA & know people that attend VT) a lot of people asked me "Why did God allow this too happen?" "Why didn't God stop this?" Because God lets us make our own decisions. He let Adam & Eve make their own decision. We are natural born sinners. It's in our blood. God gives us free will but we will have to answer for it on Judgement Day. We will ALL have something to answer for. So yes, being gay is a sin, but so is lying, stealing, murder, etc. And God views all sins equally.
"Hate the sin, love the siner." Ever heard that quote? I love gay people...and so does God (:

I have these Christian friends who always condemn homosexuals (not to their faces). And I'm like... it's not our place to judge. As a Christian, I can see why we get a negative rep most of the time.
Just know that the self-righteous Christians you meet are still learning the ways lol.

I think the Christians that give us a bad rep are the ones that don't actually think deeper about what the Bible says. The bible tells us to "love thy neighbor". It doesn't literally mean our neighbor, lol. It's referring to everyone we come in contact with...including gays! God loves everyone equally...including gays! If you accept Jesus Christ as your savior then you are set. Your past & future will be full of sin, but it doesn't matter because you have accepted Jesus Christ. God views ALL sins equally. So yes, when you stand before God you will have something to answer for, as will everyone else- but God will not say "to hell with you" to a gay man or a lesbian woman & "welcome home" to a serial killer, rapist, thief, liar, etc.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. Whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 I don't recall that oh so famous verse saying "Whosoever believes in him, except for gays..." (;
