Cage The Elephant is one of my favorite bands ever! Death Cab for Cutie is also amazing.
But most of those bands you named I love too.
Oh and I love Weezer. <3 And Bloc Party and Foster the People.

i love listening to linkin park, foo fighters and other bands like that, i guess lp are an alternative rock band, but whatever it is they do its great

I love alternative/indie. My fav bands have to be Arctic Monkeys and the Strokes! I've also really gotten into Best Coast, Blood Orange, and Egyptian Hip Hop(:

I have a question for all of you, a friend and I have argued for months on what qualifies as Indie. Any comments? We really just can't figure it out. There's not much variety where we live.

Out of what you mentioned, the only band I don't really like is Death Cab.

I know this message is late to you, but I feel the exact same way. I love almost all those bands to my dearest heart. I really love the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Killers, The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant-just some of my favorites. You forgot to mention Phoenix and a new one, Various Cruelties.
